Understanding the new reality for charity reporting

A Whole New World - Understanding the new reality for charity reporting
Breakfast event - Friday 5th February

It’s all change for charities across Northern Ireland, as the sector must now comply with new and different reporting obligations, required by the Charity Commission.

Given that these reports can be easily accessed  by the public, it’s even more crucial than ever that charities can tell their story and illustrate their impact on society.

For most, this is unchartered territory so it’s crucial that all those involved in the management and strategic direction of charities have a clear understanding of how best to embrace this new era of reporting.

3 of Northern Ireland’s most recognised experts in the sector are coming together to host a unique, free event, offering their different perspectives to form a full picture!

Gauge NI, Edwards and Co and Harbinson Mulholland invite you to join them at The Mac Belfast on Friday 5th February for a practical workshop and the opportunity for charities to discuss issues with each other.

It’s Your Responsibility!

The responsibilities of reporting lie with ALL charity trustees.

James Fair, Harbinson Mulholland

Do Your Accounts Help To Tell Your Story?

It is essential that you submit annual accounts and an annual report and these two documents must reflect each other.

James will discuss why complying with the accounting and reporting regulations is just the starting point.

Stephen McGarry, Gauge NI

How to demonstrate your impact to society!

Your organisations’ reports will be publically available so it’s vital to clearly demonstrate a public benefit.

Stephen will present ideas for measuring your contribution, improving your credibility and helping to prove your value.

There will then be opportunity for discussions/Q&A.

The event is due to finish at 10.30am. Places are limited, register for your free ticket now.
